Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Saywell app ("Saywell", "we", "us") collects and how it is used. Saywell is provided by 100 Clicks LLC. The short version: you don't need an account, your scripts and recordings stay on your device, and we don't use advertising or tracking.
What stays on your device
- Scripts and recordings. Your scripts, video takes and edits are stored on your device. We never receive your videos or audio.
- Camera and microphone. Saywell uses the camera and microphone only while you use the prompter or record a take. The recordings are saved on your device.
- Photos. If you choose to save or export a take, Saywell adds it to your photo library. It does not read your existing photos.
- Settings. Prompter settings and your remaining free AI credits are stored on your device.
Speech recognition
To scroll the script as you speak, Saywell uses Apple's speech recognition. Depending on your device and language, your speech may be processed on the device or sent to Apple to be transcribed. That processing is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Saywell doesn't send your speech or audio to us.
Information sent to our server
Some features use AI on our server: AI color grading, AI camera directing and the B-roll director. When you use one of these, Saywell sends:
- the text you type for the request (for example, "warm golden-hour look"),
- the title and text of the script, and timing information such as word count and duration,
- an anonymous account ID for your install, and a token confirming the request comes from the genuine Saywell app (see below).
No video, audio, photos, name, email address or contact details are sent. Our server runs on Google Cloud (Firebase) and uses Google's Gemini models to produce the result. Google processes these requests as our service provider.
To keep our AI service secure, the app signs each install in with an anonymous account from Firebase Authentication (a Google service). This creates a random account ID; you never enter a name, email or password, and the ID isn't linked to your Apple Account. Each request also carries a Firebase App Check token, issued through Apple's App Attest or DeviceCheck, which only confirms the request comes from the genuine app on a real device. We use the account ID only to count free AI credits, enforce the daily fair-use limit and link your Creator Pro subscription, so it is kept with a small usage record (how many AI requests were made and when). Request text may also appear in our server logs, which we keep for up to 30 days to fix problems.
Purchases
Creator Pro subscriptions are sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your payment details. To confirm that a subscription is active, the app sends the App Store purchase record to our server, which checks it with Apple. We keep the subscription status and expiry date with your anonymous account ID.
Two-phone recording
Where available, if you pair two phones for multi-camera recording, the phones connect directly over your local network or Bluetooth. Clips are sent from one phone to the other and never pass through our server.
What we don't do
- We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
How long we keep information
Usage records linked to an anonymous account ID are kept only as long as needed to count free credits, enforce the fair-use limit and confirm subscriptions. You can ask us to delete yours at any time. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Everything stored on your device is removed when you delete the app, except the anonymous sign-in and remaining free-credit count in the keychain, which iOS may keep until you erase the device.
Your choices and rights
You can use the prompter and recording without any AI features, in which case nothing is sent to our server. You can turn off camera, microphone, speech recognition or photo access at any time in iOS Settings. To ask for a copy or deletion of the usage record linked to your install, email us from the app's Support page. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights to access, correct or delete your information, and you can contact us to use them.
Children
Saywell is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll also tell you in the app.
